Excellent food and service. Daniel took great care of us and gave some excellent dinner suggestions.

In 2 wks, I've been here 3x. Each time it's even better than the previous. Today, Luis was our server and we could not ask for anyone better. He understood us, checked on us but didn't crowd us. Food came out in such timely manner. And always made sure our water and wine were replenished. Just really like his demeanor as a waiter and I will have to ask for him Tuesday thru Saturday as those are his working days. Food is terrific here. Ambiance is always above par. I mean HH and it doesn't have to be only at the bar area. That a win win. I'll be back for sure.

We came back here and gave it a second shot and we are really glad we did. The service was A+ from the start. Our server Luis was warm, friendly and engaging, as was the rest of his service team. Food and drinks arrived quickly and Luis was always around checking on us. Water was constantly refilled and plates cleared immediately. Couldn't ask for a better service experience. Re: the food, we had the following social hour items: Steak tartare 9/10 - this was great on crispy rice cakes, seasoned amazingly Shrimp cocktail 8/10 - really fresh shrimp, tangy cocktail sauce, boring presentation Salmon entree 10/10 - holy cannoli this was amazing, crispy skin and super tender Rib cap 8/10 - Fantastic char, great medium temp, needed some more salt Lobster 7/10 - Cooked perfectly, just don't think this lobster wanted to be super tasty for some reason Oscar/Crab - 10/10 best bite of food of the night This social hour has a great reputation and I'm glad we got to see the great side of it. Social hour pricing is bonkers good for such a nice place. Ask for Luis if you can, guy will make sure you have a great time.

Top notch, amazing service! The first time we went was for our anniversary and although we got nothing special, we were treated so well. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and greets you upon entering. The food is where it's at though. I love love love the brioche bread and homemade truffle chips! So unique and so good! The steaks are done of the best we've had, the chicken was really good too. You can tell because it was tender and flavorful. You cannot skip the Mac and cheese, so creamy and delicious! They have an old fashioned menu for drinks which is pretty creative. I honestly can't any anything negative about anything we ate or drank anytime we've been. They also have a live DJ which gives a nice vibe to the atmosphere. Amazing restaurant all around.

Wow!!! Still oh so good after all these years but better! Thier happy hour is a MUST!!!!! I haven't been here since before the pandemic. Scotch 80 Prime was not disappointing before and it isn't now. The manager said they have a new chef now since they reopened. My friend and I decided to come here during happy hour since their prices were just toooooo good to try when compared to other steakhouses. Plus wanted to see if it was still good since I've not been here pre-pandemic times. We got the following: Bread (complimentary): Wow beautiful! So fresh and warm. Looks like it just came out of the oven. It was as good as it looked. Hawaiian bread on steroids. Chips (complimentary): yum. Nice snack but not necessary. I'll take it anyway. Shrimp cocktail- I expected it to be jumbo but was good. It is happy hour..probably serving the small ones. Cesar salad-YUM! I like the anchovies on top. It went well with the salad. I can eat this all day. Dressing was perfect. Filet mignon- perfectly cooked! Seasoning was on point! I didn't leave any for sharing! Perfect size. Mac and cheese- OMG to die for!! It needed some lobster for protein but it was perfect on its own. The cheesy sauce was the star and I love how they add the edible gold paper. Just stunning. This happy hour menu just really impressed me that I cannot wait to go back and do the full service menu. Definitely on my list for date night. Service was on point!! Staff was friendly and kept checking up on us. From the hostess to the wait staff were impressive! My crumbs were cleaned immediately and water filled so quick. They ain't no joke here. Service is top notched. Ambiance is fancy but people still coming in casual. I wish people were just upholding the dress code. But it was a Monday and lots of locals are there for their winnings!

Honestly, how does one choose a steak house in Las Vegas? There are so many that are at least solid - and none of those are particularly inexpensive these days. Well, a food blogger I have followed since the Aughties casually mentioned that one can't get a better steak experience than Scotch 80 Prime. It was off-Strip (barely), so - well, I'd need to trust the recommendation (and I did) for me to investigate further. And further investigation revealed that Scotch 80 Prime is having its "Social Hour" special these days - a remarkable _half-price_ for many of the items on its menu. Well, then - that's worth an Uber and a try, isn't it? We made reservations (noting the dress code and dressing appropriately). And we showed up fifteen minutes early . . . and were made to wait (in a not especially well designed hallway lined with couches - the decor is kind of cheesy and made us wonder if the "80" in the name referred to the decade) every one of those fifteen minutes before being seated. At which time we noticed that . . . not everyone was paying attention to the dress code. Honestly, Scotch 80 Prime is a lot more downmarket in clientele than I'd expected to see. But the service was Vegas-level-professional - the server was a total pro but the busser was caring and friendly beyond that usual. And the food was - really good. (Most of it - the asparagus didn't do it for me.) Steaks were cooked pretty much to order and were clearly good quality cuts. The appetizers and sides were hearty. The drink service was odd in that it only allowed one alcohol drink per person at a time (surely I'm not the only person who likes a beer and a cocktail at the same time; it's not been an issue anywhere else) but that could simply be some Byzantine legal restriction. And the Social Hour pricing was a ridiculous bargain. We made sure to tip based on double the price we were charged, of course - it's not as if the folks were working any less hard just because we got a bargain price.

Chef de Cuisine Marty Lopez, the head chef at 80 Prime Steakhouse at the Palms Casino and Resort has done it again. His latest culinary triumph is the seasonal Summer Menu. What makes his menu so special is his respect for food and his relationship with it. Of purse there is the visual aspect - the starters such as the wedge salad served as a baby iceberg lettuce that resembles a rosebud, surrounded by the bacon. Or the generous Bone marrow appetizer, which is smoked for 6-7 hours before service begins. A sprinkle of mustard seeds gives the rich marrow a new texture complimented by a slight tang. The dish is accompanied by a savory braised Wagyu beef cheek served in the muted sweetness of a miniature Japanese Bao bun topped with the brightness and acidity of pickled papaya slaw. But the star of the night? The king salmon, which proves that not all salmon is equal. Perfectly portioned, this elegant dish is indeed the prettiest girl at the dance. So expertly pan-seared, just crispy enough on top but yet retains its juicy interior that insures the salmon is light and flaky. The presentation of the salmon is exquisite, set atop a bed of buttered leeks with new potatoes nestled amidst the fresh herb salad of baby squash blossoms and thin pool of beurre blanc. Every bite is heavenly. Despite its generous serving, Chef Lopez knows exactly how to give true foodies just enough to leave them wanting more, simply to be able to experience it all over again. And of course, Chef Lopez does not disappoint with his summer dessert - a lemon drop martini cheesecake. This layered cheesecake is served in a martini glass, topped with lemon curd, and is decadent enough to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth, without being overbearing. Another reason to rejoice? Scotch 80 has introduced a new summer happy hour in which guests can enjoy some select entrees and starters at half-off between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and again from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The summer menu at Scotch 80 Prime calls for a visit before the summer ends! So don't forget to make reservations and tell them Ms. Ross sent you!

Located inside the Palms hotel and casino you'll find one of the best steakhouses in Vegas, Scotch 80 Prime. I went last week for their social hour, and I was SO IMPRESSED. This is one of the few fine dining restaurants in Vegas that offers inane discounts !! You can get an entire meal from appetizers to steaks, sides and cocktails HALF OFF. Yes, seriously HALF OFF. We started with the bacon brie fondue. It comes with warm toasted bread and a jam in the middle, the bacon is thick and delicious, for $8 you cannot beat this! They also bring complimentary bread and truffle chips to the table as well. My favorite cocktail was the "send for me." We also ordered the filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything we ordered was a 10/10 on flavor and quality and again HALF OFF. Our entire bill totaled to $110. We got an appetizer (plus complimentary bread and chips), 2 filet mignons, two sides, and 3 cocktails for $110. This type of deal does not exist anywhere else in Vegas! I highly recommend you go! Their social hour is Mon-thurs 5-6:30pm and 8:30-10pm, it makes for the perfect date night or just a fun week night dinner!

I had a wonderful experience here at Scotch 80 Prime! Located at the Palms Casino, and well worth the trip if you're not staying nearby. I came here specifically for their Social Hour; which offers 50% off certain menu items. It only lasts until the end of August, and it's offered Monday - Thursday 5 - 6:30pm or 8:30 - 10pm. Reservations are recommended. If you plan on ordering oysters, then you may want to come here earlier for the 6pm menu. Unfortunately, they ran out during my visit at 8:30pm. The whole atmosphere is warm and inviting. Customer service here is top notch! Our waiter was Luis, who took good care of us. Complimentary truffle Parmesan chips are served, which was a nice surprise. I'm not sure if they're cooked in beef tallow too, but these were so tasty! The truffle flavor wasn't too intense. We couldn't stop eating these. The soft and slightly sweet rolls are served with a rosemary butter. What restaurant serves two intro sides for free! This was quite a treat before our main course. For food, I ordered the 8oz. Filet Mignon for $32.50 (SH menu price) and it was perfectly cooked! Well seasoned, moist and juicy. I loved it. Regular price is $65! What a deal. Pro Tip: Order the Red Wine Bone Marrow Demi Glaze for steak sauce. It was a great add on and full of flavor. Me and my friend shared the garlic puréed potatoes, which were amazing!! Soft, buttery, garlicky and sooo good. They were only $6 on the Social Hour menu. We also ordered the grilled asparagus, topped with a creamy Béarnaise sauce. I loved how thick the asparagus was. The sauce was delicious, and perfect. Cost is $7.50 (SH Menu). My friend ordered the Smoked Bone Marrow, which isn't on the Social Hour menu. The presentation was on point and it also comes with Wagyu Beef cheek stuffed Bao Buns. The bone marrow was fatty, and full of flavor. I wanted to pick up the bone and slurp it lol. Highly recommend! The bao buns seemed to be fried and not the typical soft and pillowy type. A different spin on it, and one that we loved. Overall, this restaurant left an impression on me and my friend. Thank you Luis for being a great server! Looking forward to coming back here next time.
